“Testing, testing … 1 – 2 – 3.”
“This is a test of the Patchwork Journey Broadcast Network. Do not adjust your screen or volume. This is just a test. “
“I have the results of your lab tests.”
“Students, for today’s test, I need you to remove your books from your desktops and get out a number 2 pencil.” Do students even have text books anymore? Do they sit at desks when school is in session? And seriously, would they have any idea what a number 2 pencil was? I am so out of the loop except I understand one thing – technology has taken over the world, and I imagine pencils have become obsolete.
Which brings me to the point of this post.
I’ve had to change the tech system I use to send my blog out into the world, and since I flunked out of Tech 101, the only way I can see if it works is to run a simple test. Did my subscribers get this post and if so, did they get it once or twice, and when?
Now the good news for you – there is nothing for you to do and the test is over. Since I am a subscriber, I will be able to answer my own questions. You may resume working, reading, writing, watching the Olympics, napping or fixing dinner.
No one likes a test, so I apologize – I just don’t know any other way to check out the new system, and if it passes or fails. If it fails … I’ll have to take the test over again and no one ever likes to do that!
Stay cool (or warm), stay dry (or wet), whatever you need it to be.

I admire that you are always pushing yourself to learn new things.
Pam Sievers says
Ah, but this is an uphill climb for me, for sure. Thank you.
Sue Mutty says
Yes. I got this and another one that look a little different. That one mysteriously disappeared from my aol email. This is a test I can fearlessly complete!
Pam Sievers says
Thanks, Sue. Yes, a bit of magic, I’m learning.
Joanne Galvin says
Received it in today’s (Wed. 7/28) email and enjoyed it as usual. Had missed seeing you lately. We are dry for now but anticipate being wet again tomorrow, and for now reasonably comfortable in temperature. Busy with the GS museum!
Pam Sievers says
Thanks, Joanne.

It works!
You work.
Both!
Pam Sievers says
Thanks! It works, sort of. Right now, I’m at about a C+ and tring to work kinks out. Love hearing from you!

I received two emails early this morning.
Pam Sievers says
Thank you. Still working out the kinks.

Roger, received.

Pam Sievers says
Roger-that. Thanks.
Judy Bates says
Worked fine for me. I got one version yesterday.
Pam Sievers says
Good to here. Thanks.
Ellen Burns says
I can relate. Schools have changed, learning has changed.
My biggest fear is that no one reads in depth any more.
Always enjoy your journaling.
Pam Sievers says
Thanks, Ellen.

You make even the mundane funny.
