Sleepless in San Miguel
I’m enjoying several days discovering the joys of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and it will be covered in a post next week. And like all other trips I’ve taken, I continue to learn things about myself. This lesson? I’m a sheet snob. If I wrote for HGTV, I’d call our room “authentic, rustic Mexico.” We are staying in a small inn that has five rooms on three levels, and it is easy to imagine it as a beautiful colonial house. Everyone knows the dangers that lurk in social media. We are constantly aware of the junk that litters our timelines and the lessons that come from clicking on garbage only to have our friends begin asking, "Hey, are you really stuck in Brazil and need fast cash?" Will the wait be worth it?
The wait is the worst, isn’t it? That’s really more of a statement than a question, but I’m sure you’ve had situations where you’ve done all you can, and the only thing left to do is wait. You find yourself doing odd things, your mind wanders aimlessly, you toss and turn when you should be sleeping.
